Manjusha Tai Patil as we know her, is gifted with a mellifluous voice which she has further enhanced by mastering sustenance of swaras, aesthetic approach, creative thinking, perfection of sur & command on rhythmic aspects. With purity in exposition of Raga, complex patterns of “Taan” rendered with speed & clarity. Manjusha is equally adept in Semi Classical Music like Thumri, Dadra and Abhang. All these elements constitute her delightful performances. Manjusha has been Guru of Vocal Music at Chinmaya Naad Bindu Gurukula (Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth) since 3 years. Under the umbrella of Sangeetachary a D.V.Kanebua Pratishthan-Manjusha has established a Gurukul in Sangli, which follows the unique tradition allegacy of nurturing and mentoring the students. Here, the students dedicatedly receive the knowledge in Guru’s close proximity. Then oble path of “Gurukul” is paved on this foundation and intends to carry on this precious tradition further. Though as a truly dedicated musician, she is constantly in the quest of excellence through perseverance but a rich portfolio of prestigious national and international concerts & the awards bestowed on her are a clear testimony of Manjusha’s successful footsteps in the world of music. Being in the Gurukul tradition under Pt. Kane bua, she was fortunate to absorb the authentic nuances of Agra and Gwalior Gharana. She trained under Pt. Kane bua for 13 years (1984 to 1997) She received further training from Dr. Vikas Kashalkar. Currently Manjusha is honing her advanced skills under the able guidance of Padmashree Gantapasvi Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar. Manjusha has now carved a niche in the world of Indian Classical Music.
